A member of the Association of Neighborhood Houses of BC, Alex House serves the community by offering activities, events, and programs for people of all ages. Programs for seniors include a monthly community lunch, monthly out-trips, and weekly knitting and walking groups. Alex House also runs a community garden and has 3 free libraries (1 youth library and 2 adult libraries).

PICS Society is a registered non-profit society that actively promotes harmony and intercultural understanding to build a more inclusive society. They provide services that directly assist women, youth, seniors, and new immigrants in the community. They offer settlement services, employment programs, housing programs, counselling and support services. Office locations are in Surrey, Delta, White Rock, and Vancouver.
SUCCESS is a multi-service agency in BC that delivers services in five major areas: social services, employment services, business and economic development services, and health services. They also provide settlement services as well as English lessons. The services are provided in all the following languages: English, Punjabi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Korean, Arabic, French, Tagalog and Vietnamese.
Our services assist older adults to remain independent in their homes for as long as possible. • Community Lunches
Our Meal Programs in Surrey and White Rock offers older adults a community lunch to enjoy a hot nutritious meal in a group setting and at some venues, entertainment as well. The Meal Program provides the opportunity for seniors to meet new friends and to engage in socialization!
• Health and Wellness Fairs
Community Support Services attend several Health and Wellness Fairs help to promote our services and provide information about other community services.
• Free Information & Education Sessions
These sessions are held all year long focusing on senior’s issues and interests. We offer a wide spectrum of topics such as tax preparation/information, caregiver education, dementia information, fall prevention, medication safety, health and well-being tips as well as current issues of the day.
• Senior Service Connectors
Offers resources and referrals for seniors and families. We help connect seniors and/ or their caregivers with available information and services in our community including: Volunteer Services, Legal Services, Recreation Programs, Financial Services, Housing Options, Food Services, Health Services, Caregiver Programs, Help with forms. We have 13 permanent locations throughout Surrey and White Rock. If you cannot make it out to one of these locations please call us and we can arrange for one of our volunteers to come to you.

Offers one on one appointments with Barrister & Solicitor, Heather Cunningham, to help seniors with legal queries and problems concerning Power of Attorney, Wills, Tenancy Issues, Representation Agreements and Family Law issues.
